In the event of an emergency with your water or sewer, please contact City Hall at (504) 341-3424.  If you have an emergency after normal work hours, call the Westwego sewer plant at (504) 347-2447. This telephone number is for after hour emergencies only!

Solid Waste Disposal

The designated days for the collection of garbage and trash within the limits of the City of Westwego are as follows:

Wednesday – Garbage
Saturday – Garbage and trash
The cost of this service is $15.00, and is included in your water bill, which also includes Sewer charges.

The fee for residents living in Westwego is $14.00 for pick-up trucks and $20.00 for trailers. The site is open Tuesday-Sunday from 9:00am-5:30pm; Daylight Savings: 10:00am-6:30pm.
